Our population will never improve unless we get some sort of anchor and life support. We were the Titanic, unsinkable, until we hit the price hike iceberg and then the world caught up and started giving up free or near free alternatives. Ever since then our ship has been heading to the bottom and we're almost there.

Only AWI can offer the life support. They are not providing it. They don't even have a defibrillator to bring us back temporarily. They've made one poor decision after the next. No doubt they thought they were good decisions at the time. A great recent example is the CAV debacle.

We can not provide the life support. We can provide the anchor, but our community is simply not willing to do that. We have people in our community deliberately trying to destroy it. We also have too many chiefs, each one wanting to lead the community and have us become dependent on their projects. Then we have those community members who did lead successfully and then abandoned the community when they didn't feel they were successful enough.

The community is now very small, smaller than it was just three months ago. The ability to provide that anchor that we need is getting progressively harder. If the remaining community members *could* work together on a single unifying project and created something unique to Activeworlds that could attract new membership, then we could at least plug the leak(the gaping hole) and level out the ship. I don't see that happening.

I agree with what you're saying to an extent, Talisan.

Except, AW isn't going out of business... At least, not yet.
